Rather than one large complex, it's a neighborhood of distinct buildings in the Lake Cliff area, ranging from restored vintage walk-ups to brand-new construction. One leasing team manages the whole district, helping renters find the community that fits.

Where is Bishop Ridge?

Bishop Ridge communities are in the Lake Cliff area of North Oak Cliff, Dallas, just across the Trinity River. The district sits a few minutes southwest of downtown and within about a mile of the Bishop Arts District. Our central leasing office is at 731 N Lancaster Ave.

How close is Bishop Ridge to downtown Dallas and to work?

Downtown Dallas is about 2 miles away, roughly a 9–13 minute drive, with streetcar stops at Oakenwald, Beckley, and 6th Street connecting the neighborhood to Union Station. Methodist Dallas Medical Center is about a mile away (4–6 min), the Dallas Medical District and UT Southwestern about 5 miles (11–12 min), and Dallas Love Field about 8 miles (16–17 min).

What sizes and styles of homes does Bishop Ridge offer?

Across the district, Bishop Ridge offers studios and one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments in a variety of styles: restored vintage buildings, courtyard flats, lofts, and new construction like The Bowie. Whatever your budget or style, there's a community that fits.

What are the income requirements to live at Bishop Ridge?

To qualify at Bishop Ridge, your gross monthly income should be at least 2.5 to 3 times the monthly rent. Applicants who don't meet that requirement may still qualify with an approved guarantor. Exact requirements can vary by community, so please confirm with your specific leasing office.

Can gig-workers apply?

Yes, gig workers and self-employed applicants can apply at Bishop Ridge. Instead of pay stubs, we accept a recent tax return along with two to three months of personal bank statements as proof of income.

How much proof of income must I provide?

Bishop Ridge accepts several forms of proof of income, including recent pay stubs, a W-2 or 1099, tax returns and bank statements for self-employed applicants, and proof of Social Security, disability, retirement, or support income. Applicants can use whichever documentation best fits their situation.

Do you allow co-signers?

Yes, Bishop Ridge accepts qualified guarantors when an applicant's income doesn't meet the standard requirement. Guarantors must show income of at least five times the monthly rent.

Are any utilities included in the rent?

Most Bishop Ridge apartments are not all-bills-paid; residents set up their own electricity and are billed for water based on usage. Swope & Mangold is the exception, with rent covering water, electricity, and gas.

Is Bishop Ridge pet-friendly?

What is the application fee at Bishop Ridge?

Most Bishop Ridge communities charge a $65 application fee per applicant, though a few charge $100. A separate admin fee, commonly $100, is typically due at move-in and varies by community.
